How the Math Works

Monthly cost = subscription + (new marketplace clients × fee per client). Each fee is a percentage of the first visit, limited by the app's minimum or cap. On these apps, returning clients carry no new-client fee.

What Marketplace Fees Pay For

The fee buys exposure in a consumer app with millions of users. If a marketplace really brings you clients, it can be worth it. If most clients already find you through Instagram, Google or referrals, a commission-free booking website keeps that money with you.

What Isn't in the Numbers

Card processing, tax, add-ons and extra team members. StyleSeat also charges clients a $2.35 booking fee. SalonDigi doesn't process card payments, so you keep using your current payment method.

No. SalonDigi takes no commission on any booking. Solo is free for one person (up to 80 appointments a month), Starter is $39/mo for up to 10 staff, and Business is $99/mo for up to 5 locations and 50 staff.

Each app charges card fees differently, and SalonDigi doesn't process payments, so including them would skew the comparison. Add your card processor's rate on top for whichever app you use.
