Build the treatment menu around real treatment time

List each treatment as its own service with the length you actually need, for example a 60-minute facial and a 90-minute massage. These are examples, not defaults. SalonDigi has one buffer setting of up to 30 minutes that applies between all appointments, not per treatment. If one treatment needs a longer reset, build that time into its published length and check how the slot then looks to a client.

Therapists are scheduled; rooms are not

SalonDigi prevents a therapist from being booked twice at the same time. It does not know that two therapists share one treatment room, that a couples suite holds two clients, or that a hydrotherapy tub is already in use. Spa platforms such as Zenoti describe booking that manages rooms and providers together. If your spa has fewer rooms than therapists, test that requirement before choosing any system.

Client notes versus intake and clinical records

Day spas usually need preferences and history: pressure, favourite therapist, products used last time. SalonDigi keeps client contact details and each client's appointment history. Vagaro documents skin-type and allergy notes, custom intake forms, waivers and SOAP notes. If your treatments require signed consent or clinical charting, as most medical spas do, that is a specialist system, not your booking website.

Memberships, packages and retail sit outside the booking site

Many spas earn a large share of revenue from memberships, prepaid packages, gift cards and retail. These need point of sale and stock control, which SalonDigi does not provide. A practical split is to use SalonDigi for the branded website, online treatment booking and reminders, and your existing till for payments and retail.

An acceptance test before you publish the booking link

Run this with your real menu and hours before clients see it.

1. Book your longest treatment near closing time and confirm the last valid start time.
2. Mark a therapist's day off and check it disappears from the booking page.
3. Assign a treatment to only one therapist and confirm other therapists cannot be chosen for it.
4. Book and cancel a test appointment and check the slot reopens.
5. If two therapists share a room, book both into the same hour and confirm your room plan catches the conflict.

Choose a plan by team size

Solo is free for one therapist, one branch, one website language and 80 appointments a month, without automatic reminders or a custom domain. Starter allows up to 10 staff in one branch, three languages, a custom domain and automatic reminders. Business allows up to 5 branches and 50 staff. Hotel spas that must charge treatments to a guest room need a system connected to the hotel's property management software.
